As part of McDaniel College’s 150th anniversary celebration, WBAL-TV (NBC, Baltimore) partnered with the college on a student video contest

WESTMINSTER, Md. – McDaniel College and WBAL-TV (NBC, Baltimore) select winners of the “How You are Making History at McDaniel” student video contest.

As part of McDaniel College’s 150th anniversary celebration, WBAL partnered with the college on a student video contest. McDaniel students were invited to create original 30-second video public service announcements that answered the question:  “How are you making history at McDaniel?” The students wrote, produced, directed, shot, edited and mixed the spots featuring McDaniel undergraduate students, as well as alumni.

The winning videos will air during Saturday children’s programming on WBAL beginning Jan. 6 through May 2018.

All of the student videos will be broadcast on McDaniel’s student-operated television station. In addition, all of the McDaniel students who entered the contest received a certificate of achievement and have the opportunity to tour WBAL’s television studio in Baltimore.
